Anderson Sweeps SAC Softball Weekly Awards
Anderson’s duo of infielder Bri Cason and pitcher Katelynn Howser have been voted as the SAC Softball Players of the Week after the Trojans claimed four conference victories.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson's duo of infielder Bri Cason and pitcher Katelynn Howser have been voted as the SAC Softball Players of the Week after the Trojans claimed four conference victories.

Cason went 7-for-10 at the plate last week, picking up hits in each of AU's games against Carson-Newman and Queens.
Cason had four hits and two RBI in Wednesday's double-header with C-N, and followed with three hits – including two doubles – and a walk in Saturday's pair of games against Queens. The wins moved the Trojans into a tie atop the SAC Standings.
The junior currently has a batting average of .280 with 24 RBI and 22 runs scored.
SAC Softball Pitcher of the Week | Katelynn Howser, Anderson
Howser earned three wins on the mound last week, tossing a total of 17 scoreless innings while strikeout out 10.
Howser won both games of an Anderson double-header sweep of Carson-Newman on Wednesday, allowing just four hits in a total of 11 innings. She also started game one of Saturday's series with Queens, striking out three and surrendering only a pair of hits in an 8-0 victory.
She now has seven complete games and is 14-4 with a 1.70 ERA on the season.
