The South Atlantic Conference Announces Seeds for the 2015 Softball Championship
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Carson-Newman won its first South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Softball Championship since 2008 as it captured the 2015 Title. With the crown, the Eagles have earned the No. 1 seed in next week's South Atlantic Conference Softball Championship, it was determined today as the Conference season concluded today. Carson-Newman finished the season with a 17-5 League record.
At No. 2 in the seeds was Anderson as the Trojans finished the SAC season at 16-6. Catawba's 14-8 record was good for the No. 3 seed. Wingate and Newberry turned in identical 13-9 records. Wingate earned the No. 4 seed via the tiebreaker procedure to give Newberry the No. 5 seed. Lenoir-Rhyne earned the No. 6 seed with its 12-10 League record, while Lincoln Memorial landed at the No. 7 seed with its 11-11 Conference mark. Coker rounds out the seeds at No. 8 as it posted a 10-12 record in SAC play.
The 2015 South Atlantic Conference Softball Championship will be played at Byerly Park in Hartsville, S.C. and will be played Thursday, April 23-April 26. Below is the Championship schedule.
