Six SAC Softball Players Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) - Six South Atlantic Conference softball student-athletes, representing four institutions have been named to the 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-District® Softball Team. 

The 2020 Academic All-District® Softball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Honorees selected first-team Academic All-District® will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All- America® honorees will be announced from June 8-11. 

Carson-Newman and Lenoir-Rhyne led the SAC selections with two honorees each, followed by Tusculum and Wingate with one selection each. 

The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2019-20 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CoSIDA Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
