The South Atlantic Conference Announces the 2022 SAC Softball Championship Seedings
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson is the South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Champion, as the Trojans finished the SAC portion of their 2022 schedule with 20-4 record and overall record of 37-7. The Trojans will be the No. 1 seed in this week's South Atlantic Conference Softball Championship, which will be hosted by Lincoln Memorial University on April 29-30.
Lenoir-Rhyne finished the regular season with a 18-6 record placing them in the No. 2 slot. Wingate trailed closely behind with a 17-7 conference record to receive the No. 3 seed. Lincoln Memorial finished the season with a 15-9 record giving them the No. 4 spot while Queens finished with a SAC record with the same record of 15-9 and takes the No. 5 seed. Carson-Newman ended the season with a 13-11 record in SAC play to earn the No. 6 seed and Tusculum taking the No. 7 seed, had a SAC record of 13-11 as well. Lastly, the Limestone Saints finished the regular season with a 12-12 record putting them at the No. 8 seed.
Lincoln Memorial wins the tiebreaker over Queens based on a 2-0 head-to-head record. Carson-Newman wins the tiebreaker over Tusculum as the teams are 1-1 head-to-head. However, Carson-Newman is 1-1 vs. Anderson while Tusculum is 0-2. Lastly, Limestone wins the tiebreaker over Newberry based on a 2-0 head-to-head record.
The single elimination 2022 SAC Softball Championship will be played at Lincoln Memorial's Dorothy Neely Softball Complex in Harrogate, Tenn. Games begin on Friday (April 29) at 11 a.m. Below is the Championship schedule.

Game 2 – #1 Anderson vs. #8 Limestone, 1:30pm

Game 4 – #3 Wingate vs. #6 Carson-Newman, 6:30pm
