Anderson's Boatner Earns 2023 Division II Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player of the Week
Rock Hill, S.C. (TheSAC.com) - Anderson's Kayson Boatner was named the 2023 Division II Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player of the Week for her outstanding performance for contests played Jan. 30-Feb. 5.
Boatner, the 2022 Schutt Sports/NFCA Player of the Year, picked up right where she left off, belting six home runs and driving in 20 runs keying No. 14 Anderson to six wins during the opening week of the 2023 season. She batted .824 (14-for17) with 10 extra-base hits, 14 runs scored, slugged 2.118 and reached base at an .850 clip. Boatner opened the season 7-for-8 with three long balls, six RBI and six runs in a twinbill sweep of USCB. She also homered against North Greenville and St. Augustine's.
