Four SAC Teams Selected for 2023 NCAA DII Softball Championship

INDIANAPOLIS- Carson-Newman, Lenoir-Rhyne, Lincoln Memorial, and Wingate were selected for the 2023 NCAA DII Softball Championship, the NCAA announced Monday (May 8). Four teams will participate at each of the 16 regional sites in double-elimination tournaments, held May 11-13. Winners will advance to the super regionals, slated for May 18-19. The finals will be held May 25-31 at the Frost Stadium at Warner Park and will be hosted by Lee University, the University of North Georgia and the Chattanooga Sports Commission. 

In the Southeast Region, Wingate earned the No. 2 seed and will host the Southeast 2 Regional. Also playing in the Southeast 2 Regional are No. 3 Lenoir-Rhyne and No. 6 Carson-Newman. Lincoln Memorial was ranked No. 5 and will play in the Southeast 1 Regional hosted by No. 1 North Georgia.
