The South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Softball Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Softball Players of the Week for games played during the fourth week of the 2024 season. Lenoir-Rhyne's Madison Wilson was named the Player of the Week while Limestone's Chelsey Stonesifer was named the Pitcher of the Week.

Wilson, a freshman from Pine Hall, N.C., went 13-for-14 with five walks to reach base safely in 18 of 19 plate appearances on the week. She added four stolen bases in four attempts and drove in five runs while scoring 12 times. Wilson currently has nine straight at bats with a hit.

Stonesifer, a freshman from Littlestown, Pa., pitched the Saints to two wins, allowing just three hits and two total runs across 13 innings with 16 strikeouts. In the doubleheader versus Lees-McRae, she tossed six innings of no-hit ball for Limestone, striking out five and picking up her sixth decision of the season.
