Wingate and Lenoir-Rhyne Ranked in NFCA Poll
ROCK HILL, S.C. (thesac.com) - Wingate and Lenoir-Rhyne were both ranked in this week's edition of the NFCA Top 25 Coaches Poll, released Tuesday (April 9).
Wingate moves up one spot this week to join the top 10. The Bulldogs (37-6), who entered the week with the longest active winning streak of 17 games, did not allow a run in a pair of SAC sweeps of Limestone and Emory & Henry.
Lenoir-Rhyne slid one place to No. 19, as the Bears (34-10) went 3-1, dropping their lone contest to Anderson 7-6.
The 2024 NFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by the NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll Committee. The committee consists of 16 NCAA Division II head coaches with two representing each of the NCAA's eight regions. Results are through Sunday, April 7. The poll will be revealed on Tuesdays at Noon ET through the remainder of the regular season.
