Wall Named 2024 Softball Tournament MVP; All-Tournament Team Announced
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne's Cassidy Wall was tabbed the 2024 South Atlantic Conference Championship MVP as voted by the tournament participant head coaches, the Conference announced today. The panel also selected an 11-member All-Tournament Team.
Wall, a junior outfielder, led the Bears to a SAC Championship after they dropped the first game of the tournament. After that, LR rattled off six consecutive wins to bring home the program's ninth SAC Tournament title. Over the seven games, Wall went 11-for-25 and hit .440 with two home runs and six RBI. She didn't strike out and had a .680 slugging percentage to go with a stolen base. Her biggest at bat of the tournament came in an elimination game at Wingate. With the game tied at six in the top of the 7th, Wall crushed the game-winning 3-run home run.
LR led the way with five players named to the All-Tournament Team, followed by Anderson with three and Wingate with two. Below is a look at the 2024 SAC Softball Championship All-Tournament Team.
