LMU’s Dayshalee Salaman Named Women’s Basketball Player Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Lincoln Memorial University's Dayshalee Salaman has been named the South Atlantic Conference women's basketball Player of the Week, for the week ending January 24, 2010.
Salaman, a sophomore guard from Carolina, Puerto Rico, helped the Lady Railsplitters to a 1-1 week with an 88-85 road loss to Catawba College and a 77-55 home victory over Mars Hill College.
Salaman set a new Lincoln Memorial University and South Atlantic Conference single game scoring record by pumping in 44 points against Catawba. She hit 68.2 percent of her shots from the field on 15-22 shooting.
In Saturday's match-up with Mars Hill College, Salaman chipped in another 16 points by hitting 6-9 shots from the field.
Salaman tallied 60 points for the week, hitting 67.7 percent
from the field and 62.5 percent from behind the 3-point line.
