Four SAC Women’s Basketball Teams Ranked In Latest Region Poll

The final regular season NCAA Division II Southeast Region poll has four South Atlantic Conference teams ranked. Lenoir-Rhyne University remained second in the region, behind No. 1 Lander, while Carson-Newman fell to number four. Newberry College stayed in the number eight spot and Tusculum College remained at the number nine spot.

Selections will be Sunday, March 7. The Division II Women's Basketball Championship selection show will be webcast on NCAA.com at 9 p.m. Eastern time, expect for the West region, which will be announced Monday, March 8.

Eight teams from each of the eight regions will advance to the NCAA Division II tournament. In the Southeast Region, tournament champions from the SAC, Peach Belt and Conference Carolinas will receive an automatic bid.
