The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Basketball Players of the Week, Nov. 24

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Newberry guard Samantha Creed has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 17-23, the League announced today.

Creed, a redshirt-junior from Montmorency, Australia, averaged 26.5 points per game to lead the Wolves to a pair of South Atlantic Conference wins last week.  At Coker on Nov. 19, she connected on 61 percent from the floor and added six from the line and one from downtown to finish with a season-high 29 points in a 67-58 win.  She also chipped in four rebounds, five helpers and steal against the Cobras.  Three days later at Brevard, Creed stayed hot as she posted 24 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal as Newberry picked up a 76-49 win.  The honor is her first Player of the Week selection this season.
