The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, Jan. 19

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – No. 14 Anderson guard Heather Jankowy has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 11-17, the League announced today.

Jankowy, a junior from Walhalla, S.C., put in 22.5 points per game to fuel the Trojans to a pair of South Atlantic Conference wins last week.  At Lincoln Memorial on Jan. 13, Jankowy notched 22 points, five rebounds, four assists and a block in an 88-83 overtime win over the Railsplitters.  Three days later vs. Wingate, Jankowy stayed hot as she matched a career-high with 23 points on 64 percent shooting and 67 percent from three point land to lift the Trojans to an 89-87 win.  She also chipped in seven assists, five boards and two steals against the Bulldogs.  Anderson is currently riding a 26-game South Atlantic Conference winning streak as Jankowy ranks No. 2 on the Trojans' roster with 15.5 points per game.  The honor marks her first Player of the Week selection this season.
