The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, Jan. 25

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial's Britney Guy has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 18-24, the League announced today.

Guy, a senior from Locust Grove, Ga., averaged 16 points per game and shot 45 percent from the floor in a pair of Railsplitter wins last week.  She got her week going with 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal to lead LMU to a 72-57 win over Tusculum on Jan. 21.  Two days later at Coker, Guy notched 16 points on 46 percent shooting and chipped in two rebounds, two steals and one assist in a 77-70 win.  She currently ranks No. 2 on the Railsplitters' roster with 11.1 points per game and tops her squad with 46 assists and 17 steals.  The honor is her first Player of the Week selection this season.
