The South Atlantic Conference Posts Three Squads in the NCAA Women's Basketball Southeast Rankings
NCAA D-II Women's Basketball Regional Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference posted three teams in the NCAA Southeast Regional Women's Basketball Rankings, the NCAA announced today. Lincoln Memorial came in at No. 2 in the rankings, while Wingate currently sits at No. 5. Carson-Newman rounds out the rankings for the South Atlantic Conference at No. 9
The Railsplitters are currently ranked No. 11 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) National Poll and sport a record of 20-2 in the Southeast Region.
Wingate is currently 19-4 in Southeast Region play and the Eagles sport a record of 15-8 in the region.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
