Carson-Newman's Wester Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Carson-Newman guard Mika Wester has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Feb. 12-18, the League announced today.

Wester, a junior from Newport, Tenn., led the Eagles a 2-0 record last week with wins over Tusculum and Catawba. Against Tusculum she scored 27 points, had six rebounds, seven assists and two blocks. She then added 20 points, six rebounds and two assists in the Eagles game against Catawba/

For the week, Wester averaged 23.5 points, six rebounds and five assists.

This is Westers second Player of the Week selection this year.
