Anderson Women's Basketball Climbs in National Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson's women's basketball team continues their prominence in the latest D2SIDA national rankings, earning the No. 7 slot, while tabbed No. 16 by WBCA.
The Trojans (24-2, 18-0 SAC) are on a 22-game winning streak, earning a SAC victory during the week to rise in the national standings. Anderson leads Division II in defensive rebounds per game with 33. The Trojans are also seventh in rebounds per game with 45.46, and 10th in rebound margin (+9.7).
Individually across Division II, junior guard Alexy Mollenhauer ranks third in defensive rebounds per game (9.0), while also tied for sixth in double-doubles (18), seventh in total rebounds with 298, and 10th in rebounds per game (11.5). The Lindale, Texas native leads the SAC in defensive rebounds (238), rebounds per game (11.5), points (508), and points per game (19.5). She is second in field goals (178), three-pointers (64), and total rebounds (298).
