Anderson Women's Basketball Continues Climb in National Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson's women's basketball team continues their prominence in the latest D2SIDA national rankings, earning the No. 6 slot, while tabbed No. 15 by WBCA.
The Trojans (26-2, 20-0 SAC) are on a 24-game winning streak, setting the program's longest run, with two SAC victories to clinch the conference regular season title and top-seed in the upcoming SAC Tournament. Anderson leads Division II in defensive rebounds per game with 33. The Trojans are also fifth in rebounds per game with 46.00, seventh in rebound margin (+10.4), eighth in rebounds (1,288), and ninth in won-lost percentage (92.9).
Individually across Division II, junior guard Alexy Mollenhauer ranks third in defensive rebounds per game (9.0), while also tied for fourth in double-doubles (19), eighth in total rebounds with 322, and 10th in rebounds per game (11.5). The Lindale, Texas native leads the SAC in total rebounds (322), defensive rebounds (254), rebounds per game (11.5), field goals (201), points (566), and points per game (20.2). She is second in three-pointers (72), and third in three point percentage (41.6) and blocks (39).
