Anderson's McNeill Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –The South Atlantic Conference announced the AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played in the eleventh week of the 2021-21 season, Anderson's Shameka McNeill earns this week's Player of the Week honor.

A graduate student, McNiell, helped lead the Trojans to a 2-0 record this past weekend. She picked up 25 points, two steals, five three-pointers and 11 rebounds in their win over Mars Hill while garnering 24 points, three assists and three-pointers and three rebounds in a win over Limestone. Overall, the Charlotte, N.C., native averaged 41.7 percent from the floor, 24.5 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game. This is McNeill's first Player of the Week honor this season.
