Tusculum's Tham Named South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –Tusculum's forward Jami Tham has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week five of the 2022-23 season, the Conference announced today. 

Tham, a graduate student from Arlington, Va., averaged 24.5 points, 15.5 rebounds, and shot 69 percent from the field as the Pioneers extended their winning streak to seven games with wins over UVA Wise (75-59) and Mars Hill (80-68). Tham finished with 18 points and grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds in the win over UVA Wise on Wednesday, then scored a career-high 31 points on 13-for-14 shooting with 15 rebounds in Saturday's win at Mars Hill. Tham also extended her streak of consecutive double-doubles to 10 in as many games.
