Anderson's McDowell Named South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson forward Diamond McDowell has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week seven of the 2022-23 season, the Conference announced today.

McDowell, a sophomore from Asheboro, N.C., led the Trojans to a 71-58 win over regionally ranked Augusta last week. She notched a double-double of 12 points and a season-high 18 rebounds with two assists, two steals, and five blocks in the win.
