Tusculum's Shultz Named South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Basketball Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Tusculum guard Blayre Shultz has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week fourteen of the 2022-23 season, the Conference announced today.
Shultz, a senior guard from Morristown, Tenn., averaged 24.5 points per game as the Pioneers earned wins over Carson-Newman (79-70) and Newberry (78-42). She scored a team-high 22 points and had five rebounds and five assists in the win over Carson-Newman, then scored a game-high 27 points with four assists and three steals against Newberry. Shultz hit four three-pointers in both wins and shot 75 percent from the foul line (9-12) for the week.
