Wingate's Troutman Named South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate forward Bryanna Troutman has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week fifteen of the 2022-23 season, the Conference announced today. 

Troutman, a senior forward from Salisbury, N.C., capped the regular season with a pair of huge games, leading Wingate to two SAC road victories as the 'Dogs pushed their winning streak to 10. Troutman averaged 25 points, 14.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game, shooting 66 percent from the field. She started her week with 21 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in the 20-point win at Newberry, going 9-15 from the field. Troutman piled up 29 points and 18 rebounds in the 10-point victory at Limestone, going 12-17 from the field while adding 3 assists and a block.
