LAKELAND, Fla. – 36 holes are in the books at the 2013 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship South Regional, with Newberry remaining at No. 8 in the team standings and Tusculum's Emee Herbert climbing to 35th on the individual leaderboard.
The final round of the regional will get underway on Tuesday morning.
Newberry shot 316 as a team on Monday, four strokes better than in the opening round. The Wolves were led by a round of 77 from Korey Coleman, who is currently tied for 47th on the individual leaderboard with a two-day total of 169. Eline Askeland, meanwhile, shot a 78 on Monday and is tied for 28th at 157.
Rounding out Newberry's individual standings are Lisa Brandl in a tie for 35th, and Barbara Castro and Julia Daneshfar in a tie for 39th.
Herbert, who entered Monday tied for 42nd on the individual leaderboard, shot a 77 in round two, which included a birdie the first hole.
Lynn moved into the top spot of the team standings after round two, paced by individual leader Samantha Smolen, who is two-over par for the tournament.
