The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week, March 7

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Brevard's Caitlyn Nemeth was tabbed the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Lenoir-Rhyne's Ines Flueck was named the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played Feb. 29-March 6, the League announced today.

Nemeth, a sophomore from Old Bridge, N.J., scored eight goals and picked up 10 ground balls for the Tornados last week.  She got her week started with four scores, five ground balls and six draw controls against Tusculum on March 5.  The forward followed that effort with four tallies, five ground balls, one draw control and a caused turnover in an 8-4 over the District of Columbia on March 6.  Nemeth put 13 of her shots on frame and finished with a shots on goal percentage of 87 percent in the two-game span.  The award is her first Offensive Player of the Week selection this season.

Flueck, a sophomore from Coppell, Texas, posted 40 saves to lead the Bears to a 2-1 record last week.  She notched 11 saves vs. Regis on March 2 and followed with 17 saves in a win over Shippensburg on March 5.  She closed her week out with 12 saves in a SAC win over Coker on March 6.  Flueck finished the three-game span with a 65 save percentage as she played every minute of each contest.  The award is her second-straight Defensive Player of the Week plaudit this season.
