The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week, April 18
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens' Hanna Scott was tabbed the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Ines Flueck of Lenoir-Rhyne was named the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played April 11-17, the League announced today.
Scott, a freshman from Centreville, Md., totaled 12 points this week as the Royals picked up wins over No. 17 Mount Olive and Conference foe Coker. The attacker record five goals and one assists to lead the Royals past the Trojans in a 9-8 win on April 14. Two days later at Coker, she added a hat trick and three assists in Queens' 19-6 win over the Cobras. Additionally, she put 100 percent of the shots she took on frame. Scott currently has 65 points and 32 assists this season to rank third in the league in both categories. The award marks her first Offensive Player of the Week selection this season.
Flueck, a sophomore from Coppell, Texas, recorded 11 saves in a 19-5 win over SAC foe Lincoln Memorial on April 16. She saved 73.3 percent of the shots she faced in 47 minutes of action. The honor is her third Defensive Player of the Week nod this season.
