The South Atlantic Conference Announces Astroturf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played in the fifth weekend of the 2020 season. Queens garnered offensive honors with Ally Blood while Wingate took the defensive honors with Megan Biase.

A senior attacker, Blood helped the Royals to a 2-0 record over Florida Southern and Coker this past weekend. Overall she pulled together 12 points with seven goals and five assists, while shooting 100% from the field in their 27-0 win over conference opponent Coker. This is Blood' second consecutive Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.

Biase, a freshman goalie, helped the Bulldogs defensively with 33 saves overall this past weekend. The Nesconset, N.Y., native went a total of 179:52 minutes between the posts with a 40.7 save percentage. This is Biase's first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
