The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played in the second weekend of the 2022 season. Queens Kyleigh Masteran took the offensive honor and Wingate's Leah Knowles took the defensive honor.

Masteran, a Senior midfielder, Hampstead, MD., helped the Royals to a 1-0 record on the first week, totaling Six points on Six goals in their 21-5 win over Newberry College. She also had three ground balls and four caused turnovers. This is Masteran's first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.

Knowles, a junior midfielder player from Hickory, NC., In the first game she had three caused turnovers and tallied three groundballs. She also secured three draw controls, three goals and two assists to bring the Bulldogs a 20-5 win over North Greenville. This is Knowles first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
