The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week Honors

THE SOUTH ATLANTIC CONFERENCE ANNOUNCES ASTROTURF WOMEN'S LACROSSE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK HONORS

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played in the fourth weekend of the 2022 season. Lincoln Memorial's Ali Van Der Ziel took the offensive honor and Queens Caroline Kraemer took the defensive honor.

 Van Der Ziel, a Junior Attacker, McKinney, TX., helped the Railsplitters to a 2-0 record on the fourth week, totaling seven points on five goals, two assists, and one turnover in their 17-2 win over Lees-McRae. She went on to dish out four assists, two ground balls and seven goals leading them to a 25-2 win against Asbury. This is Van Der Ziel's first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.

Kraemer, a Sophomore goalie from Oceanside, NY., helped the Royals secure a 20-7 win against Saint Leo this past week. She played 60 minutes between the posts with seven saves for a 50% save percentage. She also played 60 minutes against Florida Southern leading her team to a 12-9 win with 13 saves and a 59% save percentage. This is Kraemer's first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
