The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week Honors
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played in the eighth weekend of the 2022 season. Queens' Kyleigh Masteran took the offensive honor and Newberry's Mack Dorr took the defensive honor.
Masteran, a senior midfielder, from Hampstead MD., helped the royals to an 2-0 record on the ninth weekend, totaling four points on four goals, one caused turn over, one draw control and one ground ball in their 27-1 win over Coker. She went on to dish out seven points on six goals, two assists, three ground balls and one draw control leading them to a 25-6 win against Tusculum. This is Masteran's second Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
Dorr, a freshman goalkeeper from Riverhead, NY., helped the Wolves secure a 10-9 win against Lenoir-Rhyne this past week.She played 62 minutes between the posts with nine saves for a 50.0 save percentage. She also played 15 minutes against Converse with one save for a 50.0 save percentage. This is Dorr's first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
