The South Atlantic Conference Announces Women's Lacrosse Astroturf Players of the Week Honors
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played in the twelfth week of the 2022 season. Queens' Kaitlyn Hardin takes the offensive honor while Lenoir-Rhyne's Cassie Lafler receives the defensive honor.
Hardin, a senior attacker, from Leesburg, Va., helped the Royals to a 2-0 record, totaling seven points on five goals, two assists, four ground balls and one caused turnover in their 21-6 win over Mount Olive. She went on to dish out seven points on two goals, five assists and two ground balls, leading them to a 24-3 win against Catawba. This is Hardin's first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
Lafler, a defender from Penn Yan, N.Y., helped the Bears secure a 9-6 win against Catawba after tallying six ground balls, four caused turnovers and one draw control. She also put up four ground balls and three caused turnovers in their 19-6 win over Mars Hill. This is Lafler's first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
