Four women’s soccer teams ranked in Southeast Region poll
INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Committee has released this week's soccer regional rankings. The rankings include the top teams in each of the eight regions, with records through October 8, with four South Atlantic Conference teams listed among the top seven in the Southeast Region.
Tusculum is second, while Carson-Newman is third. Catawba is fifth, while Wingate is sixth.
The NCAA Division II women's soccer championship will provide for a 32-team, single-elimination tournament. Four teams will be chosen from each of the eight regions established by the women's soccer committee. For first- and second-round competition, teams will be paired in their respective regions with the No. 1 seed playing the No. 4 seed; and No. 2 seed playing the No. 3 seed on Friday, November 3. The winners of each game will advance to play one another on Sunday, November 5. First- and second-round games will be played at the same site.
The winner in each region will advance to the quarterfinals to be played on either Saturday, November 11 or Sunday, November 12. Championship selections will take place Monday, October 30.
