Catawba’s Kathleen Blake named Women’s Soccer Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Catawba goalkeeper Kathleen Blake has been named the SAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

Blake, a junior from Greensboro, N.C. (NW Guilford HS) did not allow a goal in a pair of matches against top 10 teams. She made five saves as Catawba knocked off No. 10 Columbus State, then registered seven stops as Catawba battled No. 3 Tusculum to a 0-0 draw on the road. Blake's pair of shutouts marks six on the season and lowered her goals against average to 0.78.

The SAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week is selected by a vote of the league's sports information directors.
