Lenoir-Rhyne’s Rebecca Lin Named Women’s Soccer Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. -Lenoir-Rhyne College's Rebecca Lin was named the SAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week, conference officials announced today.

Lin, a 5-5, freshman forward from Northridge, CA (Granada Hills HS) scored five goals in the first two matches of her collegiate career and led Lenoir-Rhyne to a 2-0 start to the 2007 season. Lin opened the season with two goals in the Bears' 5-1 win over the Saints of Limestone College on the road last Thursday. Lin then tallied the Bears' first hat trick (three goals) in nearly two years to lead L-R to a 6-0 shutout win over Mount Olive College in its home opener Sunday.

The SAC Player of the Week is determined by a vote of the sports information directors of the league.
