Mars Hill’s Blaha Named Women’s Soccer Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. ­- Mars Hill College's Alicia Blaha has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week, conference officials announced today.

Blaha, a 5-8 junior forward from Rapid City, SD scored two goals in the Lions' win over Carson-Newman College last week. She also notched the match winner against the Eagles. For the week Alicia recorded a .857 shot on goal percentage as the Lions went 2-0 in conference play. On Saturday night MHC defeated Wingate, 2-1 to improve to 7-6 overall and 3-2 in the SAC which places them second in the league standings. This is the first time Blaha has won the award.

The SAC Player of the Week is determined by a vote of the sports information directors of the league.
