Lincoln Memorial’s Heloisa de Oliveira Named To Daktronics All-America Team
HARROGATE, TN - Lincoln Memorial University women's soccer forward Heloisa de Oliveira (Campinas, Brazil) was recently named to the Daktronics First Team All-American squad by sports information directors across the United States.
A four-year starter, Oliveira led the Lady Railsplitters this
year to a 15-5-1 record and led the team in goals scored (28),
assists (11) and in total points (67). Over the past four years
she has rewritten the Lincoln Memorial University record books by
becoming the all-time leader in each of these three categories.
For her career, Oliveira ranks first in career points (200), career
points per game (2.63), career goals (78), game-winning-goals (18),
career assists (44), assists per game (0.58), shots attempted 325)
and shots on goal (179).
This year Oliveira also broke the single-season record for goals scored, surpassing the old mark of 27 which she set in her freshman season. The penalty kick Oliveira scored in the NCAA Southeast Region Semifinal loss against Tusculum College was her 28th goal of the season and the final goal of her collegiate career.
Oliveira ends her collegiate career with two conference championships, three appearances in the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Tournament, one regional title and one NCAA Division II Elite-Eight appearance.
Individually the four-year letter-winner was named GSC Freshman of the Year in 2004, First Team All-Gulf South Conference in 2004, First Team All-GSC Tournament in 2004, First Team All-South Region in 2004, First Team All-GSC in 2005, First Team All-GSC Tournament in 2005, First Team All-South Region, First Team All-South Atlantic Conference 2007, South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year in 2007, Daktronics First Team All-Region in 2007, 2007 Daktronics Southeast Region Player of the Year and 2007 Daktronics First Team All-American. Oliveira becomes the first Lincoln Memorial University women's soccer player ever to earn All-American honors.
