Lincoln Memorial’s Oliveira, Tusculum’s Turner Named To NSCAA/adidas Women’s Soccer All-America Team
MISSION, Kan. -- Tusculum College midfielder Courtney Turner and Lincoln Memorial University senior forward Heloisa de Oliveira have been named to the NSCAA/adidas® NCAA Division II All-America Women's Soccer Team.
Both Turner and de Oliveira were named to the third team.

This year Oliveira also broke the single-season record for goals scored, surpassing the old mark of 27 which she set in her freshman season. The penalty kick Oliveira scored in the NCAA Southeast Region Semifinal loss against Tusculum College was her 28th goal of the season and the final goal of her collegiate career.
Oliveira ends her collegiate career with two conference championships, three appearances in the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Tournament, one regional title and one NCAA Division II Elite-Eight appearance.
Individually the four-year letter-winner was named GSC Freshman of the Year in 2004, First Team All-Gulf South Conference in 2004, First Team All-GSC Tournament in 2004, First Team All-South Region in 2004, First Team All-GSC in 2005, First Team All-GSC Tournament in 2005, First Team All-South Region, First Team All-South Atlantic Conference 2007, South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year in 2007, Daktronics First Team All-Region in 2007, 2007 Daktronics Southeast Region Player of the Year and 2007 Daktronics First Team All-American. Oliveira becomes the first Lincoln Memorial University women's soccer player ever to earn All-American honors.
Turner, a freshman from Cocoa Beach, Fla., becomes the third player in the program's history to earn Division II All-America distinction (Tara Henderson, Ashley Moreira). She was one of only six freshmen in the country named to the All-America squad.
Turner finished second on the team in scoring with five goals and five assists for her 15 total points. Turner started in all 22 contests for the Pioneers, while recording a pair of match-winning goals. One of those tallies was the lone goal in Tusculum's 1-0 double-overtime win over Newberry College. She was also named to the All-South Atlantic Conference First Team.
Tusculum finished the year with a 15-7 overall record, while advancing to the NCAA Division II Tournament Sweet 16. The Pioneers were making their third consecutive NCAA postseason appearance and fourth in the last five years. TC also recorded its 10th straight winning season under the tutelage of head coach Mike Joy.
Tusculum ended the season ranked No. 14 in the final NSCAA/adidas® Division II poll. The ranking is the second best finish for the Pioneers to end a season. Last year's squad advanced to the NCAA national quarterfinals and a No. 8 national ranking, the best in school history. In 2005, Tusculum recorded a No. 18 finish, marking the first of three straight years ending the season with a national ranking.
