Carson-Newman’s Trenna Howell Named Women’s Soccer Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. ­- Carson-Newman College forward Trenna Howell has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending October 5, the league announced Tuesday.

Howell, a sophomore from Oak Ridge, Tenn. (Oak Ridge HS) scored a pair of goals and added an assist for the No. 7 Carson-Newman Lady Eagles last week including the match-winner against Mars Hill Saturday night. She had a goal and an assist in a 3-1 victory over Tusculum.

Carson-Newman is riding an 11-match winning streak, which is the longest stretch in school history. Howell leads the Lady Eagles with eight goals and 19 points.
