The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, Sept. 14
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne forward Leah Mullins has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for games played Sept. 8 – Sept. 13, the League announced today.
Mullins, a senior from Kissimmee, Fla., had a big week recording a hat trick in both of her matches, leading the Bears to a back-to-back shutout victories over USC Aiken (8-0) and Union (Tenn.) (6-0). Against USC Aiken Mullins had a prefect shot percentage with all three finding the back of the net. In both contests Mullins scored her hat tricks in the first half. She closed the week with 12 points, taking eight shots on goal and tabbed an overall .750 shot percentage. Lenoir-Rhyne, ranked No. 24 in NCAA Division II, finished the week 2-0 and is now 3-1. The award is Mullins' first Player of the Week plaudit this season.
