The South Atlantic Conference Posts Eight Soccer Teams in the NCAA Regional Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference posted five women's and three men's teams in the NCAA Regional Rankings, the NCAA announced today.
The Wingate women are ranked No. 1 in the Southeast Region, while Carson-Newman earned the No. 2 spot. Anderson landed at No. 6, with Lenoir-Rhyne at No. 9. Queens rounds out the women's Southeast Regional rankings at No. 10.
On the men's side, Carson-Newman is currently No. 3, Wingate is No. 5 and Lincoln Memorial is No. 7.
The Bulldog women are 11-1 on the year as Carson-Newman has posted an 11-2 record in 2015. Anderson is 12-2, while Lenoir-Rhyne is 10-4. The Royals are currently 7-5-2 this season.
The Eagle men are 10-2-1 this season, with Wingate close behind at 10-2-2. The Railsplitters are 8-2-1 on the 2015 campaign.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Soccer Committees up to the NCAA Championship selections.
