The South Atlantic Conferences Places Four Teams in United Soccer Coaches Women's Regional Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The United Soccer Coaches announced its Division II women's soccer regional rankings on Tuesday (Sept. 4), with four teams representing the SAC in the southeast, taking four out of five in the bottom half of the poll.
Tusculum is at the No. 6 slot to lead the conference, going 1-0-1 on the week. Against Nova Southeastern, the Pioneers won 3-2 and finished with a scoreless tie against Palm Beach Atlantic.
In seventh is the preseason SAC favorite Carson-Newman. The Eagles have dropped both of their contests in 2018, 2-0 against West Florida and 3-2 versus Columbus State.
Lenoir-Rhyne shutout Lees-McRae 1-0 to sit ninth in the poll. Rounding out the rankings in 10th is Queens, who have split their two matches, dropped a 3-2 decision with Lynn and winning 3-2 over UNC Pembroke.
South Atlantic Conference action will begin in one week on Wednesday, September 12.
