The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Women's Soccer Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during week nine of the 2019 season.  Lincoln Memorial forward Jessica Cravero was named the offensive player of the week, while Catawba defender Katie Beck was named defensive player of the week.

Cravero, a sophomore from Montenerodibisaccia, Italy, led the Railsplitters to a 3-0 win over Coker last week. She provided all the offensive power needed in the win, scoring all three goals, earning her fourth career hat trick. This is the third offensive player of the week honor of the season for Cravero.

Beck, a sophomore from Clermont, Fla., anchored the Catawba defensive line that posted two shutouts last week in a pair of 1-0 wins against Limestone and Anderson. In addition to Beck's stellar defensive play, she also contributed on the offensive side of the ball, scoring the game-winning goal for the Catawba Indians in overtime against Anderson. This is Beck's first defensive player of the week accolade of the season.
