Twelve SAC Women's Soccer Players Named to United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region Teams
KANSAS CITY - The United Soccer Coaches Announced the 2019 NCAA Division II Women's Scholar All-South Region teams on Monday (Dec. 16) with 12 members of South Atlantic Conference institutions earning the prestigious honor.
Lenoir-Rhyne's Christina Shimshock and Hannah Van Eerden, along with Wingate's Abbey Frail were named to the first team, while Catawba's Shelby Thompson and Shelby Vaisch, Lenoir-Rhyne's Aleisha Cruwys and Abigael McGarel and Carson-Newman's Kristina Markfort were second team selections. Earning third team honors were Wingate's Carly Veit and Kalyn Williamson, along with Catawba's Ashley Bornkamp and Lincoln Memorial's Mariana Diaz Lopez.
