Catawba's Jimmo Named United Soccer Coaches National Division II Women's Soccer Player of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches announced it's National Women's Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during the third week of the 2021 season. Catawba midfielder Sydney Jimmo was named the Division II Women's Soccer Player of the Week.
Jimmo, a sophomore from Shelburne, Vt., had a big week for Catawba as she led the Catawba Indians to a 2-0 record with wins over Chowan (5-1) and Anderson (4-0). She scored a hat trick with two assists in the Chowan victory and then added two goals and an assist against Anderson. For the week she had five goals with three assists for 13 points. In addition to being named National Player of the Week, Jimmo was also named the SAC AstroTurf Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
