South Atlantic Conference Announces Seeds for 2021 Women's Soccer Championship
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The Catawba Indians finished the 2021 regular season with a record of 10-0-1 and 31 points in the conference to earn the 2021 SAC Women's Soccer Regular Season Title. The Catawba Indians will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming SAC Women's Soccer Championship.
Queens earned the No. 2 seed with a 9-1-1 record and 28 points. Lenoir-Rhyne finished the regular season with an 8-3 record and 24 points, giving the Bears the No. 3 seed.
Carson-Newman finished the regular season with a record of 7-3-1 and 22 points, which gives the Eagles the No. 4 seed in the championship.
Wingate slid into the No. 5 seed with a record 7-4 in SAC play and 21 points, while Limestone took the No. 6 seed with a record of 6-4-1 and 19 points.
Rounding out the field for the championship are Lincoln Memorial at No. 7 and Newberry at No. 8. The Railsplitters finished the year with a record of 5-5-1 and 16 points, while the Wolves are 5-6 with 15 points.
The 2021 South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Championship quarterfinals will be played at campus sites on Saturday, Nov. 6 before moving to Mecklenburg County Sportsplex at Mathews in Matthews, N.C. for the semifinals and finals on Nov. 12 and 14. The South Atlantic Conference's Tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament.
