Wingate's Agger Named South Atlantic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its Women's Swimmer of the Week for meets competed in during the sixth week of the season. Wingate's Kate Agger was named the swimmer of the week.
Agger, a graduate student from Broomall, Pa., posted NCAA B cuts in all three events that she competed in during the Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy Invitational. She was the top South Atlantic Conference finisher in the 500-yard freestyle (4:57.19) and 1650-yard freestyle (16:50.33), placing third and fifth overall in a field of five Division II schools and three Division I schools. In the 200-yard freestyle, she claimed another national cut as she touched the wall at 1:52.39. Her fourth NCAA B cut was earned for the 1000-yard freestyle after she split 10:10.57 at the 1000 mark during her mile.
