Mars Hill’s Erika Pinate Named Women’s Tennis Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, SC -- Mars Hill College sophomore Erika Pinate has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week ending February 16, 2010.

Pinate, a sophomore from Caracas, Venezuela, won her singles and doubles matches against No. 38 Lander. She defeated Aurelia Ruffat in No. 2 singles 7-6, 6-2. She teamed with Patty LaRovere to defeat Brandi Cordell and Aurelia Ruffat in No. 1 doubles 8-6.
