LMU’s Sophia Lopez Mimendi Named Women’s Tennis Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, SC -- Lincoln Memorial University's Sophia Lopez Mimendi has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week ending April 17, announced conference officials Monday.

Lopez Mimendi, a junior from Mexico City, Mexico (Tec de Monterrey), improved to 16-0 on the season at No. 2 singles (8-0 in the SAC) and 13-0 at No. 1 doubles (6-0 in the SAC) with her wins vs. Mars Hill and at Milligan.

She defeated Mars Hill's Tatiana Dualiby 6-3, 6-0 and Milligan's Albany Kelly 6-3, 6-2 in singles action. In doubles, she and Leah Donoff defeated Lenoir-Rhyne's Kelsey Love and Emily Mauser 8-2, Mars Hill's Erika Pinate and Anna Rickenbacker 8-2, and Milligan's Albany Kelly and Caitlin Conley 8-0.
