Lenoir-Rhyne's Janssen Named AstroTurf Women's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne's Sanne Janssen has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played February 11 through February 17, the Conference announced today.

Janssen, a sophomore from Maastricht, Netherlands, helped lead the Bears to a 2-0 record last week with wins over North Greenville (6-1) and Emmanuel (4-3). She went undefeated on the week, winning at No. 1 doubles with partner Emily Murchland and at No. 6 singles. Janssen's 7-6, 4-6, 7-6 win at No. 6 singles was the decisive match in the Bears' win over Emmanuel.

This is Janssen's first Player of the Week selection this season.
