Wingate, Queens and Tusculum Ranked in Latest Oracle/ITA Division II Women's Tennis Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) releaed its latest Oracle/ITA Division II Women's Tennis Top 50 national ranking on Wednesday (March 20). Wingate earned the No. 19 spot in the ranking, followed by Queens at No. 23 and Tusculum entered the ranking at No. 45.
The Bulldogs are a perfect 10-0 overall, with a 4-0 record in SAC play, while Queens is 7-2 overall and 3-1 in conference play. Tusculum is also 7-2 overall and is 3-0 in the SAC.
In addition to the national team ranking, the ITA also released its Oracle/ITA Top 75 singles ranking and Top 50 doubles ranking.
Wingate's Michela Verpelli is ranked No. 14 in singles, while the double's pair of Yana Fleyer and Aliaksandra Davidzenka from Queens are ranked No. 8 in doubles. Verpelli and doubles partner Alisa Rudenko are ranked No. 18 in doubles.
Also ranked in doubles are Wingate's Claudia De Andreis and Chyi Lee at No. 29, Carson-Newman's Hannah Price and Abby Reis at No. 46 and Newberry's Amy Griffiths and Lucy Spice at No. 49.
